A mixed-use facility with 240 units of housing being built on what's known as "Block 8" in Little Tokyo
Now that Phase I is mostly finished, it looks like construction on Phase II is in full swing. Here's a photo I snapped.
The big square outlines on the facade have started to go in. Honestly, they don't look half bad!
Found them at http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=147965&page=194
A couple progress photos I took. What I can't wait to see is what they do with the pedestrian space between the three buildings under construction. Having a car free space is a valuable opportunity!
It's amazing what removing the negative space of a parking lot can do for the vibe of a neighborhood. The northern tip of Little Tokyo is starting to feel cozier already.
Crazy to see that parking lot turned into a big hole so quickly. This one is really starting to move fast.
The title says it all. And a big thanks to Curbed for the photos!http://la.curbed.com/archives/2013/11/half_of_ava_little_tokyo_tops_out_adjacent_mixeduser_digs_in.php
Found these on Skyscraper Page. Once again, credit to blackcat23!
Took these photos earlier in the week.
Thanks mojeda at skyscraper city for the photos
